It's Friday!

Well, as some of you already know, Cameron has had a horrible ear infection for the last 2 months. We have taken 3 rounds of antibiotics and tried 2 different types of ear drops to no avial. This whole ear infection thing is very new to me. Mason never had any ear problems whatsoever. Dr. Kirkendall is our family physician and I trust every word he says. Today when we went for our checkup, he recommended that we see Dr. Scott for Cameron's ears. Apparently she has ruptured an ear drum and the infection is just not going away like it should. I am not too sure how I feel about tubes in Cameron's ears. Just the whole thought of anesthesia scares me. I have heard extremely great things about Dr. Scott and I have no doubt he will take excellent care of my precious baby girl. Tuesday is our appointment to see whether or not he thinks Cameron needs tubes. So, if you would, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I know everything will work out for the best. I will leave you with a picture of my "favorite" daughter, Cameron Rea Combs. Isn't she sweet!?

Indeed she is beautiful. And to relax you a bit about the whole thing, I had the same issues as a child, I actually had numerous hospital stays because of my ears. After tubes, not a single issue, so there is a positive pov. I'm sure she'll overcome =o)

All three of my boys have had tubes! I would recommend them to everyone! Dr. Scott also put them all in. I work with him on a regular basis as well, and I promise you are in good hands! In fact, we had such good luck with the tubes, that Chad wanted to go ahead and just put tubes in Ben's ears right after he was born just to avoid the issue (what a man for you!)

I've only heard positive things about tubes...nothing bad. I wish Reece would have had them put in. That kid had tons of ear infections. We will be thinking about your beautiful little girl..I know it is your job as mom to worry, but I really thing tubes is the way to go.

I will agree with everyone else, tubes are great for little ears that are infected alot. Coop was sick all the time before he had his tubes put in, and he had his adnoids out at the same time. We'll be praying for your little princess to feel better.

Poor girl! Ryder had an ear infection every month of his life until 10 months when we got tubes. It has been wonderful. No more infections, no more medicine. It is a little scary having your baby go under. Ryder woke real cranky and cried a lot but once he got a good nap after we got home he was good to go. I hope everything works out for Cameron. She'll be in our prayers. We'll keep her mommy in our prayers too!;)
